Resilience isn’t just strength—it’s survival. And while it’s shaped us, it’s also exhausted us. After my mom died, people kept telling me how strong I was. But all I could think was: I wish I didn’t have to be.

Instead of praising resilience, remind people they don’t have to be strong. Celebrate their rest as much as their survival. Let them exist without expectation.
