Waste-Less Wednesdays Episode 4: Art + Cardboard Scraps

This episode felt a little more personal, and really tied a lot of pieces together within Golden Hour and the whole purpose of this project – to share resources and reflections on Mental Health and Environmental Advocacy as a traveller.

During the course of my travels, I’ve inevitably purchased things that have come in cardboard packaging.  Well, as a creative person who HATES throwing things away, and also hates spending money if I don’t have to/can avoid it, I decided that instead of purchasing a sketchbook, I would save my cardboard scraps and use these as canvases for when I needed a different way of expressing and creating.

I’m not normally drawn to fine arts, but sometimes I find myself needing to do random doodles, or play with colours, or draw out a mandala (this is most common for me – serves as a really calming and grounding practice).  Because I don’t draw often, it felt really hard to justify purchasing a whole book, and I really didn’t want it done in my journal, so naturally this felt like such a great solution to my waste and creative problem!

I pour my heart out a little more into this video… hope you like it x.
